Jose "JJ" Treviño, Jr. is a trial lawyer who has practiced exclusively in civil defense litigation since his admission to the Texas Bar in 2005. He received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
Mr. Treviño received his Juris Doctor degree from St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. In law school, he was a Research Assistant for Dean Vincent Johnson and assisted him in editing the Third Edition of Studies in American Tort Law. Mr. Trevino was also a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Fred Biery, United States District Court Western District of Texas.
Throughout his legal career, Mr. Treviño has litigated a wide range of matters in venues ranging from the Rio Grande Valley to El Paso, Texas and central and southern New Mexico. Mr. Trevino concentrates his practice in the development and trial of the following cases:

- Transportation & Trucking
- Professional Malpractice.
In 2014, Mr. Treviño was selected by his peers to inclusion to Texas Monthly Super Lawyers, Rising Star™. In addition, Mr. Trevino has been recognized by his peers as a “Best in San Antonio” Personal Injury Defense Attorney since 2010, as listed by Scene in San Antonio Magazine.
