Sarah E. Smart: Sarah Smart was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas and graduated from Calallen High School before moving to San Antonio. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2010. Sarah discovered her passion for law when she assisted in a high-profile Qui tam case, and later drafted a writ of certiorari to the U.S. Supreme Court. In 2013, she joined a prominent plaintiff’s firm and began working as a paralegal in its Mass Tort office while she attended St Mary’s University School of Law. She interned for Justice Rebecca Martinez at the Texas Fourth Court of Appeals (San Antonio). Before joining Valdez & Treviño, she was a member of a San Antonio insurance defense firm. Her practice now focuses on the defense of personal injury and commercial cases in Bexar and surrounding counties, as well as the Rio Grande Valley. Sarah is currently a member of San Antonio Young Lawyers Association (SALA) and Women’s Law Association (WLA).
