Brenda Montoya was raised in San Antonio, Texas, and graduated from MacArthur High School. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in political science and graduated from St. Mary’s University in 2012. She was a legislative aide in Austin, Texas, during the 83rd Legislative Session in 2013. She then completed an internship at Bracewell & Giuliani in Washington, D.C. in the summer of 2013. Brenda then relocated to Lubbock, Texas, where she attended Texas Tech University School of Law. While in law school, she was a law clerk at Thompson & Kerby where she assisted in personal injury lawsuits. Before joining Valdez & Trevino, Brenda worked for an insurance defense firm where she specialized in 3rd party insurance cases.
