Professional Experience & Affiliation​

David Louis practices in all aspects of civil litigation with a focus on personal injury, property damage, and premises liability. David is a proud military veteran, who retired with over twenty years of service in the United States Army and deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2020, he graduated magna cum laude and as John Marshall Harlan Society scholar from St. Mary’s University School of Law. While in Law School, David was the Managing Executive Editor of the Law Journal, a Dean’s Research Fellow, Judicial Intern to Xavier Rodriquez of the United States District Court of the Western District of Texas, and a Legal Intern with the Bexar County Criminal District Court Administration. He was a member of Phi Delta Phi, Black Law Student’s Association, Immigration Law Student’s Association, and the San Antonio Young Lawyers Association. Following law school, he was Law Clerk to Justice Rebeca A. Huddle of the Texas Supreme Court. Before joining Valdez & Treviño in late 2023, he was an associate in San Antonio base law firm and focused on medical malpractice defense.
