Michael M. Novak
Professional Experience & Affiliation
Mr. Novak’s practice focuses on commercial and civil litigation, as well as insurance defense. He obtained a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Texas A&M Kingsville in 2001 and an M.F.A in Performance and Pedagogy from Texas Tech University in 2005. Following his M.F.A., Mr. Novak engaged in doctoral course work in performance studies before transitioning to law school in 2011. Mr. Novak graduated in the top 15% of his class from Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2014 and in the same year was honored with the Julia Lambert Award for Student Clinician of the Year. Prior to joining Valdez & Treviño, Mr. Novak gained experience as a corporate and transactional attorney at one of the largest firms in Texas.
